An 'Introduction' Make Up

Hi People, I'm sorry I've been AWOL for over 2 years now. Say what? Mehn! that's been a really long time. The last time I blogged was before going for my compulsory National Youth Service. The hustle is real, *sigh*; from thinking NYSC was a struggle to realizing that the real struggle begins when you start searching for a job, when you get a job and when you start taking up responsibilities. After working for 6 months and attending a course for another 3 months, I found myself back on the job market.

Anyways, enough of the talk, I'm going to be putting up photos of some make up jobs I've done lately. The first, of which is the latest, is make up for an introduction- An introduction is a small event where the family of the bride and the family of the groom meet officially, before the wedding plans begin. Happy viewing :D

Applying Mascara on your Lower lashes....Right or Wrong?

Hello Beauties,
The focus for today is The Mascara.

The Mascara is a cosmetic used to enhance the eyes. It may darken, thicken, lengthen, and/or define the eyelashes.
I was writing a post last night when someone said, "It is wrong to apply Mascara on your lower lashes." and I thought to myself, "That's a first! Never heard that before."
I checked some articles this morning and I saw that different people have different views about this lower lashes and mascara issue.

What do you think? Let's read your views.

CONCEALERS

There’s nothing more upsetting than waking up with a big black spot on your face, especially when you have an important occasion to attend. Thanks to the power of concealers, you can still attend that event with your face held up.
The concealer is a very important part of the makeup base and it is designed for a variety of skin colours and shades. It comes in three forms; Liquid, Cream and Solid.  Sticks are most popular as they are easy to apply.

The concealer hides blemishes and gives the skin a smooth look. It also hides under eye wrinkles. It is applied before the foundation.

Concealers have a dense composition than foundation and are thicker than foundation. Use a darker shade of concealer in hot weather, as the skin gets baked and tanned during this season.

Also note that concealers are to be applied in small quantities.

 HOW TO APPLY

After cleansing your face with facial wipes, apply under eye cream over the under eye area and moisturizer over the rest of the face, let them get absorbed into the skin properly. This prevents the concealer from drying and setting on wrinkles and on the fine lines around the eye. Put a spot of concealer over uneven spots on the face; including the chin, and around the nose and mouth, if need be. Use the pad of your index or middle finger to tap it in. Blend the concealer softly. Do not rub or pull the area, but tap it into the skin till it blends then smile in front of the mirror to see that it does not get into the fine lines around the eyes. Blot extra concealers with tissue paper. Blend concealer finely with translucent powder to prevent crack and crease.

If the concealer has been applied to only affected areas, that is, areas where there are blemishes, scars, pimples and acne, a foundation can be applied to the whole face to blend it further.  Apply loose powder over your face to set the concealer in place.

There are more steps to having that flawless look you crave for. Stick with me as we examine more steps to a beautiful you!

Enjoy!

Fashion Make Up!!

I'm so in Love with Fashion Make Up that I can't help but post this. I absolutely love the creativity behind it.
The amazing thing about this type of make up is that there are no limits to what you can do. For me, I don't have to rehearse or practice, I just let it flow.... I don't know what I'm about to do till I'm done doing it. Classic!
Feed your eyes, get creative, be dynamic, be open to creativity....and if you need me to give you that special, beautiful, creative look, Hala at ur girl!

P.S- It doesn't have to be extreme avant-garde.

Vue Heureuse!..... Happy Viewing!

Introduction!

Hello Everyone, I'm sorry i have not been blogging here. I was carried away.
So, My first official jobs were on Sunday, April 3, 2011. The first was for a client, who was being honored, and her daughter, the second was at a Fashion Show; The Meet and Greet, Orange Culture and IamIsigo. It was a great experience.

I also did a consultation on the 13th of April, Yay! Business is moving. Thank God!

I have few pictures. These pictures don't really show the make up.There was no time to take the pictures myself, had to make do with the ones taken by other photographers. Everything is a learning process. I know better now.

Enjoy!!
